I feel happy in sharing that I have published my second book from Mauritius. This work is dedicated to my teachers who taught me everything from ‘A’ to ‘Z’ !!

The book is on Renewal for Smart Cities. Some perspectives explored in the work are:

(1) Processes applicable to revamping the inner-city areas;

(2) Relationship between these processes;

(3) Renewal as the most sustainable process of revamping the inner-city;

(4) Assessment for renewal upon the inter-relationship of the factors that affect sustainability.

I believe that this work is different since it attempts at revamping inner-city areas in the context of the ‘smart’ cities.

After having worked on the book for a couple of months, I have realized that research is an ocean of eternity. The more we sail deeper, the lesser seems to be our acumen. Over these months of working on this, I have realized that there is so much that could be and should be done for our cities. Is this work perfect? No, absolutely not. It is open for debate and I would really appreciate it. As I said, just like many, I too am a sailor exploring the ocean. Just like a traveller who recounts, these works are nothing but mere figments of imagination and experiences based on limited understanding but verified by empirical research.
